City v West Ham - Player Ratings

Player Ratings

Given - 7 Did nothing wrong but didn't have all that much do do.

Zabaleta - 8 Even though his rival is an Englishman I would have this Argentinian at right back any day of the week. Impulsive but got all of his challenges and passes right tonight.

Toure - 8 A steady first half was eclipsed by a 2nd half of the highest quality. 1 recovery tackle on Carlton Cole springs to mind as world class.

Lescott - 7 Not unlike his previous games, moments of calmness marred by lack of concentration. He'll come good no doubt, but looks a bit over-awed at the moment.

Bridge - 6 Moments of incisive rapid attacking play sprinkled with some calamitous defensive passes and positioning.

W-Phllips - 6 Kept trying but not at the races in an attacking sense.

De Jong - 8 He is a destroyer in midfield and is in great form.

Barry - 6 Was ill this week and it showed with wayward passes and lack of strength at times.

Petrov - 7 As long as hes trying should be in the team every week. Had a point to prove even if he was selfish at times. Great free-kick too.

Tevez - 8 Could have scored a hat-trick in the first 10 minutes but was wasteful. Still showed skill and industry in grabbing 2 well-deserved goals.

Bellamy - 9 Should have scored and even though his strike partner scored 2 was Man of the Match. He makes Tevez look slow and lethargic, such is his speed and willingness to work for the team!

Santa Cruz - 6 Good to see the good man who showed some good aerial power and abiltiy to hold the ball up even though he missed a good chance after coming on.

Johnson - 6 Great to see him back with some great touches and passing. One move reminiscent of a certain Mauricio Gaudino (A spot prize for those of you who can guess which match).

Man of the Match - CRAIG BELLAMY. If he can keep fit, surely with Adebayor there is no better Premiership strike-force. Absolutely frightening and on fire!
